29.09.2011

Breakfast/Lunch: slept over at Kim's again and for once
I woke early enough for breakfast. Dragged on though and
by the end of it we had to rush. Waited 30 minutes too long for the bus
and in the end I decided to take the metro to town to go donate blood.
I'd tried the day before but they turned me down because I hadn't eaten anything.

The gift I got for parting with 4.5 decilitres of my blood.
They were really nice and the text message you get a
few weeks after your donation can really brighten your day.

Dinner: salad.
+ rice noodles, peanuts, meat, onions.

The owl I made next to the owl Kim made.

My brother is selling cookies to finance a trip with his classmates.
They past a law a few years ago saying schools have no right to ask
the parents to fund these trips so now they're selling cookies.
Each kid has to sell 10 boxes each and if they can't the parents, if I'm not mistaken,
has to buy the leftovers.

The box my lil' sister bought to help chip in.

The box I bought.

The neighbours bought two as well and my cousin bought one today.
Five to go.

28.09.2011 off topic Swedbank scam

My blood boiled.
It honestly did.
These awful, scum sucking son of a pigs deserve to rot in a filthy pit of rotting garbage while awful african bees sting them to death.

"Hej, vi upptckte oregelbunden aktivitet p ditt Swedbank konto.
Anvnd lnken nedan fr att verifiera ditt konto omedelbart:
Swedbank"

Literally translated: "Hi,we discvered irregular activity n your Swedbank account.
se the lnk below  t verify your account immediately:
Swedbank"

Someone's missing a few crucial Swedish letters on their keyboards.
When you click on the link it leads you to a page that looks a whole lot like
the normal, official, Swedbank page you're supposed to use but there
are a few crucial differences. The only thing you can do with the fake is type in your
social security number, pick an option from the drop down
menu and press enter. The "English" link and the security link lead nowhere.

Doesn't matter which option you pick in the drop down menu, it'll still lead
you to the same page where you're supposed to enter an 8 digit
"one time code". Something that isn't possible if you use a personal code
to access your bank account online. Only the people with "dosor" can type in
an 8 digit one time code, but, as I mentioned before, no matter what you choose
from the drop down menu it'll always ask for a one time code.

After you've entered your one time code it'll give you a loading screen that
asks for some patience because it'll take a minute. The minute turns into 5
and after it's done "loading" you get this screen:

Translated: The website declined to show this webpage
      Most likely causes:
You have to login to
this site.

Don't fall for it. If it was important your bank would NEVER contact you through e-mail
and who are they to say that your account activity is "irregular"? People buy cars,
go to casinos, do things they shouldn't again and again and do you think banks take
the time to e-mail each and everyone of those customers? No. If it's important they're
going to mail you the old fashioned way.

I'd read about this scam in the papers so I was a bit suspicious from the get go,
as a normal teenager that spends a lot of time on the web has a tendency to be,
but everyone aren't that lucky. Not everyone are familiar with scams on the internet,
not everyone think before they type and hopefully more people out there will take the time to
research the links they get sent before they click on them.

27.09.2011 off topic part 3

I called Kim around midnight because there was something I needed to find out.
Was going to call around 9-10 but I postponed it and when I finally did call I woke her up.
The conversation tickled my funny bone but wasn't very fruitful (ended with me saying
I'd call her early in the morning to get the info). I realized that she's helped me with a lot
that I take for granted so I decided I'd give her the owl as a small thank you.

Looked the owl over again and the eyes had to go so I made a new pair, and another, and another and in the end, after gluing on the pair I liked the most I had a few left over.  Decided to make a small box to put the leftovers in and add it as a bonus. One side was red and the other was yellow.

Brain came up with the bright idea of having the penguin standing on a black box so I scrapped the yellow and red and pulled out my razor thin black paper. Had to use two layers and because I wanted a big box it got very difficult. Took ages to get it right and in the end, even with the double  layers, it didn't feel sturdy enough. The black box was also too big for a few pairs of owl eyes so I glued the yellow box in the middle of one (made the black box sturdier and it could now store the owl eyes properly) and for the second I just glued/taped on miscellaneous pieces of paper.

Wasn't happy with the result so I looked through my scrap box (filled with pictures I'd cut out of an old biology book) and found an adequate one. Pulled off the different paper pieces and taped the biology picture in there instead. The end.

Now 02:11 in the morning.
Going to have a hell of a time waking up to go to the office.

27.09.2011 off topic part 2

Couldn't have pulled this off without Jewellia7777.
I knew that I was going to make an owl from the get go but
when I got on her page I still found myself browsing and I just
fell in love with her strawberry people. Didn't have a suitable colour that I could
use for the skin so in the end I postponed the making of those critters
and went with the owl. Didn't follow the tutorial to the letter, but I'm still
quite happy with the result.

Removed the two purple pieces at the bottom and the final
version has arms that aren't on the same level.

Hoo~hoot.

27.09.2011 off topic part 1

Folded during office hours. Not as productive as I was yesterday.
Still a decent number though.
198.

I was just going to type that I'd postpone the actual 3D building 'til I felt
up for it and then I started thinking about the sizes of mommy owl and
daddy owl in comparison to baby owl and before I know it
the urge to build an owl has run over me like a freight train.

Now all I need to do is find a good Youtube tutorial.

27.09.2011

Breakfast: deliciously scrumptious sleep.

Lunch: wasn't planning on eating but the day at the office dragged
and I needed the pick me up. Rice, chicken (leftover chicken) with a
westernised mushroom sauce.

Dinner: steamed buns in leaf.
shroom. egg. meat. peanuts. rice flour.

26.09.2011 off topic

This is what I made at work.
211 triangles.

Step by step tutorial on how to make the 3D origami pieces.
There are better instructions on Youtube and this doesn't
look very exciting yet but just wait 'til I piece it together.
Won't be the eighth wonder, but it'll still look pretty spiffy.

26.09.2011

Breakfast: nada.

Lunch: nothin'

Dinner: rice, mushrooms, chicken, soy sauce.
Cold rice + chicken was a heck of a lot yummier than this combo.

Snack: popcorn, few chips.

25.09.2011 off topic

Made the red and green ones today.
On the way to and from the flea market I had a lot of time to kill.
Building blocks for 3D origami. Made a few figures a long time ago
but I gave those away and got sick of folding so I put it on the shelf.
Bringing it back so I can work on Christmas presents. I'll more or less
be giving away paper I've folded so I want it to be as pretty (experimenting
with color combinations, eye shapes, and accessories) and as sturdy as possible.

What I picked up from the flea market today.
Put me back 40 crowns/5.77$/3.73£.
The blue and orange pillowcases were free.
The meatball gave me the green stuffed toy and the
black trinket box with the flowers on it.

What the meatball bought.
20 crowns/1.87£/2.89$ for the lot.

25.09.2011

Lunch: rice, scrambled eggs, tuna in a can.
Dinner: rice porridge with miscellaneous animal parts.

Snack: nectarine

24.09.2011

Lunch: rice noodles.
wasn't as good as it was yesterday.

Snack: bread, ham

Dinner: rice, fish, soup
Couldn't find the camera so never got a picture.

Snack: chocolate, popcorn.
Not starting on the popcorn today and not finishing the chocolate either.

23.09.2011

Breakfast: sleep and oh, how wonderful it was.

Lunch: nothing.

Snack: nothin'.

Dinner: rice noodles and damn tasty ones at that.

I told myself I was going to start working out again but
that hasn't happened so I'm still not back on track.
Skipping lunch and just eating dinner helps me feel less guilty.
:]

Snack: only laid my claim on the burger and a nugget!
And I shared the candy with the meatball.

Damn window.
Once a year I can understand but twice in a month is
downright sadistic.

22.09.2011 slightly off topic

Letters to a friend.
Yogscast (woop!), escargot, teaching French kids English, Christmas gifts,
finding a new job, the blog.

Dinner: noodles, vegetables, chicken.

22.09.2011

Breakfast: being grouchy.

Lunch: porridge, bread, butter, soup with carrots beetroot and cabbage.

Snack: baked apple, bread with ham and cheese, cream on the apples
and apple juice.

Took me an hour and a half of staring at the ceiling before I fell asleep
yesterday so when my little sister woke me up at 7 o'clock so we'd be in time for
the class trip to Hogelby I have to admit that I was a bit of a grouch.

It was an iron aged themed day so everyone had to dress in iron age clothing,
turn their phones off, get new names, and work like they did back then.
Spent some time in the forge crafting hooks and dying yarn with plants, and
making something useful out of wool.

Was in charge of four kids including my sister and holy mother of
camels is it stressful to be the person in charge. They're third graders and you'd
think a third grader would understand to not bring a 200-300 centigrade piece
of iron close to their face after I've told them repeatedly, but NOOOOO.
Hook made by the Meatball and Simon.
Simon managed to lose it though.

Feet. Started out OK.
Ended up not so OK.

The view from the forge.
The building to the right is where they cooked all of the food.
The building to the left is where they chopped wood and made
these very primitive toys, tied it to a string, and whirled it to make a sound.

21.09.2011

No pictures this time.

Been eating curry morning, noon and night and in between thinking about it and eating it I've even managed to watch X-men: First Class.

Great movie but I have a god awful spell checker.
